It's been a blur of golden ribbon and gift wrap as a load of Christmas packages for family and friends were readied and shipped to France this past weekend... completing this annual tradition is an enormous feat in our household, and we celebrated by putting up the tree and finally getting to enjoy the glow of Christmas lumières...
You decorated your tree this weekend! I hope it was relaxing after wrapping and sending all of your Christmas presents to France, Catherine. Whew! Ooh, I love the golden ribbons. Reminds me of buttered noodles. Your photos have such a soothing glow--they really inspire me to slow down and enjoy the season.
ReplyDeleteButtered noodles, I love that Charmaine! Having the Christmas tree up really helps mark the season. Thank you for being a constant reminder to slow down, relax, enjoy... remain mindful xo
DeleteThat final photo is breathtaking! I love the bokeh and golden glow. Its just beautiful, Catherine...Your photos inspire me to brew a cup of tea, put on a little holiday music, and enjoy taking some time to wrap my gifts!
ReplyDeleteThank you Jamie! What a wonderful combination... creates such a warm festive mood, hope you enjoy every bit of it! :)
DeleteThese photos are golden glow personified! Just beautiful. (We face the same rush each year, shipping things to England, and it's somehow gratifying to learn that others face that same bustle!:) Wishing you a peaceful few days.
ReplyDeleteKindred souls :) Every year my husband and I wonder how the boxing and shipping can become easier, faster, less expensive... and we think alas there's always next year... and then Boom! the holidays hit and it's back to the whirling rush! Please let me know if/when you found a less hectic solution ;) Thank you for your ever kind comments + wishes. I hope you enjoy every second of your holiday...
