One that I loved and haven't seen since it came out nearly twelve years ago is Amélie, the immensely enchanting French comedy starring Audrey Tautou. Have you seen it? If you're a fan of that movie, you may remember Amelie's workplace, Café des 2 Moulins (above), a little cafe that sits quietly on a busy corner of Rue Lepic in Montmartre… passing by it in Paris last month offered the perfect reminder to add Amélie to my growing list of must-see agains :)

Oh, I love Amélie too, and I visited le Café des 2 Moulins last time I was in Paris (in fact, it's featured in my red collection of the photos of the year - stay tuned :) I will definitely add Amélie to my Christmas vacation movie list! Enjoy your snow days with your boys!

ReplyDeleteThank you, thank YOU dear Katherine :) xo
DeleteOh I enjoyed that movie so much when it was released, I went to see it with two different friends:) I can't believe I've not rewatched it in so long. Love this image, I must make sure I see the movie again!
ReplyDeleteThe movie is so full of poetic touches - perfect for daydreaming ;-) I did not know the café was real, so on my next trip in the area, I'll have to check it out and take a few pics. Now that you made me think of the movie, I sooooo like the part about the traveling "nain de jardin' :-) I am laughing as I write this... All the best to you,
ReplyDeleteLove! Love your way to see the world.
