I love love love holiday decorations. If it wasn't for the snickering that comes with having a Christmas tree hanging around in the middle of Spring, I would no doubt yield to my nudging desire to keep it up indefinitely. The glow of white lights, how it captivates and fills hushed darkness - that's my favorite part…
So now Christmas is only days away,… on to wrapping presents!
How are your decorating and holiday doings moving along?

I could not agree with you more: the Xmas holidays are my favorite time of the year (well, after summer ;-)) and the tree has been up at our place since, hum...the last week of November. It fills me with unspeakable joy to put it up now that I have children of my own and I love love love to see how the stare in awe at the flickering lights in the evening - I see stars in their eyes. What's more precious, I wonder? Happy holiday season to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos! Your comment about keeping the tree year around reminded me of my mom. The Christmas before I moved to Germany, she kept the tree around until March and my dad had to finally call me and asked me to tell her to take it down...lol. I guessed she missed me that much! :D
ReplyDeleteNine days only, eek!;-) I love the way these images just glow and glow. Yup, I'd want the festivities to linger into Spring...so so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful photos! I especially like the last one with the busy little hands and bare feet. Joyeux Noel!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo effects. The blurry images of the white trees looks a lot like snowy fog.
ReplyDeleteYour processing of the images are beautiful!! Merry Christmas to you my friend.

ReplyDeleteThe quiet peace of your photos is enchanting. My holidays are quiet, very quiet - unless my Grands are visiting!
ReplyDeleteI don't keep a tree up, but I have Xmas lights inside the house all year long. I love the colourful glow. - Margy
