I love the sound of the accordion! It's a popular instrument in Istria and is playing during festive occasions. Accordion music somehow instantly creates a festive - and even romantic - atmosphere.
So true Isabel,...the sound of the accordion always seems to transport me to another time and place. It fits perfectly here in Paris, and surely must in Istria as well :)
So lovely - and I am impressed with the colours of the tricolore (truly french) .The accordion is bringing back childhood memories. My parents from the Eastern part of Europe and during festivities the accordeon was being played...and the singing started ,followed by dancing accompanied by stories being told of the "good old "times. Thenk you so much for the thoughtful comment you left on my blog yesterday.
Great to see the accordion here, back into action: it is a highly underrated instrument these days, what a pity. Have you listened to THE French accordion specialist Yvette Horner (she's quite a character)? Enjoy and thank you for sharing this beautiful musical moment!
