I tend to pass this roundabout at the foot of Rue Mouffetard almost everyday, very often on my way to somewhere else. But the other day, in the blue glow of morning, under a light drizzle, it felt like I was jolted awake to stop and look around me, and to then look again. And not get caught lost in the landscape missing the details,...
If November in Paris had to be defined in photos, this is what it would look like to me... outfitted in a glistening gauzy gray, cozy in its position between the sleepy floating golds of Fall and the hushed pearly pull of Winter.

ReplyDeleteAll these photos capture Paris in the fall so beautifully. My favorite is the black and white. It seems perfect for that shot. I'm still having withdrawals from my September trip to Paris. I'd go back in a second!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, beautiful
ReplyDeleteCharming photographs of THE most noted city in Europe at the end of November. Grey, overcast sky and fine drizzle, that's the weather we have here in Germany as well currently. No surprise. All the bad weather we get her in Germany once was at France before... ;-)
ReplyDeleteSincères salutations, Uwe.
Beautiful pictures, especially the b&w one! It's been too long since I've been to Paris, last time it must have been ten or eleven years ago... perhaps next year, my daughter wishes to see la Tour Eiffel...
ReplyDeleteHave a nice evening,
Ioana

ReplyDeletethis is so lovely. It takes me back to Paris, even though I was there in summer. I love the sidewalk cafes and the food markets. The winter light you have captured is beautiful. I wish I was there! Have a lovely weekend.
ReplyDeleteThank you all so much for your kind comments :) xo
ReplyDeleteNow I am looking forward to seeing a covering of snow, Catherine. The fall images were very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYour last sentence is a poem, Catherine. It is exquisite to see Paris through your eyes. The architecture and the cobbles all steeped in age but alive in the moment.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous as always! Your images are always so dreamy.
