Of all the different angles and perspectives of the Eiffel Tower, my favorites are the ones where she seems to appear out of nowhere, like she's playing cache-cache (hide-and-seek) with us, we turn the corner and then there she appears - larger than life and immensely beautiful,... but more approachable ;) Do you have a favorite view of La Grande Dame?
I love these shots of the Eiffel through the trees. I do love seeing the Eiffel Tower framed by trees because they soften the metal -- it's a nice contrast. I love standing right under the tower looking up. And I love distant glimpses, like seeing the tower from the Place de Concorde. And I love riding up into the tower. (Any view is magnificent, in other words!)
It must be amazing to look up and just see her there. I think it is the way I felt when walking around NYC and being right near iconic buildings. These are gorgeous and I love the second one because that view is so unique.
I have only visited Paris one time so many years ago and did not even take any photos of the Eiffel Tower or anything else as this was in my days before carrying a camera aroud...so sad. But seeing this grand structure would seem like New Yorkers seeing the Empire State Building and the former WTC, which I did see many times on visits to NYC.
The second picture is amazing... I´ve been many times to Paris, but I don´t think I have ever seen the Eiffel Tower from that perspective... I love standing right underneath one of its legs and looking up! We have always traveled with our children, but this last one is keeping us grounded for a while! haha However... she will have to put up with us on 2015!!! ALways enjoy your pics!

Beautiful photos of La Grande Dame. I'm going to have one happy granddaughter when we finally get to meet her this summer. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI really like your hide and seek collection of photos. (I've visited once in Paris but didn't go this close to the Eiffel...)
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteFor as much as I disdain visiting La Grand Dame, I never tire of seeing it the way you've captured it in the second photo. Love it!

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! How I wish to visit it one day!
ReplyDeleteI don't believe I've ever seen an 'ugly' picture of the Eiffel Tower - such a beauty. These are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI like all views of her - she's definitely an iconic beauty! (I really love the second photo!)
