I love the memories that come flooding back to me when I look at your photos! This time I'm brought back to my love affair with the International Herald Tribune - my weekly treat. I got the Saturday one (if memory serves) where the big weekly crossword was published. Then I'd saunter down to my favorite cafe and get lost in a sea of words. English words. It was precious "me" time when children were young, schedules were packed and dalily life happened in a foreign tongue. These shots are wonderful! {also, discovered IG direct message...hmmm. I'm a bit slow - thanks for the prompt! Email coming back to you soon!}
What a wonderful tradition Adrienne, one I need to adopt! So true, how important it is to carve out spaces for the brain to relax into its mother tongue (while continuing to be stimulated). Thank you for sharing your local routines from your time here,... please continue! :)
I always love your images but I particularly love your black and white images telling the story of daily life in Paris. Thank you. Have a wonderful week.
Thank you all so much for your kind comments! It is an enormous pleasure to take you with me on my photowalks... it is one of my goals to transport you with each photograph :)
